Cosmetic Dentistry
We are able to offer you a variety of services from whitening to veneers to crowns to help improve your smile even if it is for an event like a wedding in a couple of weeks time or to simply improve your confidence. We listen to your dental needs, take photos, X-rays and moulds where necessary to help design your new smile.
Teeth whitening
A great way to improve the colour of your teeth. This can be done at home – we will show you how to do this – or in the comfort of our room. Teeth can discolour as we get older (ageing process). They can also stain over time, especially with cigarettes, coffees, red wines, turmeric and other food stains. Whitening will help improve the colour of your teeth and can be cost-effective.
Veneers
Veneers can be an option to consider to restore broken teeth, discoloured teeth or teeth that look rotated or crooked. Veneers are thin facings placed on the front surfaces of the teeth. They can help in improving the colour, shape, size and position of teeth to enhance your smile. Veneers can be made from porcelain or composite resin.
Porcelain Veneers
Minimal amounts of preparation are done to the tooth surface. The veneers are made in a laboratory and are made out of ceramic. They are made to look natural and are strong. This will usually take 2 or more sessions.
Composite Resin Veneers:
This is a cheaper alternative to porcelain veneers. They are usually not as strong as porcelain, so may require replacements and more maintenance in the future. Minimal amounts of preparation are done to the tooth surface. This is usually done in 1 session.
Crowns
Crowns are a great way to mask discoloured teeth and protect teeth that are structurally weak. These can be made from porcelain and made to look natural. More tooth preparation is required for this. Again, this is a stronger option than composite resin. (Graphics will be needed for this)
Teeth Straightening with Invisalign
Teeth straightening has come a long way. We are now able to utilise a series of customised plastic aligners from Invisalign to help straighten your teeth. Braces may not be required in some instances. You can eat and clean your teeth with ease without having to worry about the inconvenience of metal braces. If teeth straightening is of interest to you, please contact us to see if Invisalign is appropriate for you.
